Ponnie started her career by specialising in employment litigation with leading Malaysian employment practitioners before expanding her practice to include corporate commercial disputes.

 

As an employment lawyer, Ponnie advises and represents clients in various employment and industrial relations related cases. These include matters on employee wrongdoing, discrimination, wrongful termination, unfair dismissal claims and wage disputes. She has acted for both companies and claimants, including senior and C-Suite management.

 

On the corporate commercial front, Ponnie advises clients on general commercial problems, as well as cases involving shareholders disputes and directors' liability. She also works regularly with liquidators on a wide range of insolvency related matters, including debt restructuring and liquidator related disputes.
